Betoya Foods Co., Ltd. ("the Company") handles customers' personal information in the "Viet Origin Members" loyalty programme of the Vietnamese restaurant "Betoya (Viet Origin)" and on the member site my.vietorigin.jp ("the Site") as follows.

Matters not covered by this Policy are governed by the "Viet Origin Members Terms of Membership".

(1) Information the Company collects

• Information you enter at registration: name, email address, phone number and password (including the confirmation entry). * Date of birth is not collected.
• Member number and member rank (Member / Silver / Gold / Diamond)
• Purchase history at our shops (date and time, shop, items purchased, amount spent, etc.)
• History of Star Anise (the name of this programme's points) earned, used and held, and history of coupons exchanged and used
• Usage history of the Site, IP address, device and browser used, and information obtained through cookies and similar technologies
• Content of enquiries, opinions, requests and survey responses

(2) Purposes of use

The Company uses the information it collects for the following purposes.

• Accepting member registration, verifying identity, and managing membership status, member rank and member accounts (including handling account merges and changes)
• Managing Star Anise earned, used and held, exchanging for coupons, and providing member benefits
• Providing products and services in shops and online, and processing orders and payments
• Analysing your purchase history, visit history, Star Anise usage history, Site usage history and survey responses to recommend products, menus, coupons and campaigns suited to your preferences. Based on this analysis, we may send you personalised communications by email, SMS, messaging services, on-site display or other means.
• Announcing new products, new shops, seasonal menus, campaigns and events; conducting surveys; improving products, services and shop operations; and planning and developing new products (including creating and using statistical information processed so that no individual can be identified)
• Responding to enquiries, opinions and requests, and contacting you from the Company
• Preventing fraudulent use, responding to conduct that breaches the terms of membership, maintaining and securing the Site and related systems, and complying with laws and regulations

Any change to the purposes of use will stay within a scope reasonably related to the previous purposes, and the revised purposes will be posted on the Site. Where use beyond that scope becomes necessary, the Company will obtain your consent in advance.

3. Provision to third parties

The Company does not provide personal data to third parties without your prior consent, except where permitted by law, such as when required by law or when necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and obtaining consent is difficult.

Entrusting handling to an external party within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use, and providing data in connection with a business succession due to a merger or other cause, do not constitute provision to a third party.

4. Requests for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, etc.

Regarding your personal data held by the Company, you may request: ① notification of the purposes of use, ② disclosure, ③ correction, addition or deletion where the content is inaccurate, ④ suspension of use or erasure, and ⑤ suspension of provision to third parties.

How to request：Requests are accepted by email. For identity verification, please provide your registered name and email address. If you are acting as a representative, please also submit a letter of authorisation or equivalent. Replies are made by email as a rule.

Fee：Free of charge.

After confirming that a request comes from you or your representative, the Company will respond without delay. If you cannot identify the data concerned, the Company will assist you in identifying it. Where the Company is not legally obliged to respond, it may decline the request after informing you of that fact and the reason.

5. Other handling

Outsourcing｜Within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use, the Company may entrust the handling of personal data to external parties (development and operation of the membership system and the Site, server hosting, in-shop sales management systems, email and message delivery, printing and mailing, enquiry handling, etc.). In such cases, the Company selects contractors appropriately and supervises them as necessary.

Cookies｜The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, improve convenience and improve the service. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, but some features may then be unavailable.

Revisions to this Policy｜The Company may revise this Policy in response to changes in law or in the programme. Revisions take effect when posted on the Site. Important changes will be announced in advance.
